Fast Patrol Boats

A mini campaign based on the naval action of the Arab-Israeli War, with the original Yaquinto Fast Attack Boats rules converted from hex based to 'tabletop'

The tabletop in question being a partition of the floor of the church hall.

From Furness Wargamers at Sea

The first couple of scenarios went to the Israelis, but the Arabs, charging straight in and firing off all missiles at once, caused a number of losses to the opposition.

The last couple went the way of the Arabs, as they switched to the tactic of forcing the Israelis to expend their more numerous missiles, and then closing in to try and finish them off with guns and ramming. Both were close and could have gone either way. If the Israelis had been more cautious with their missiles thing could have been much different.

This was only about 1/3rd of the way through the full official campaign, but it was called as a draw. In the full campaign the Israeli side would have suffered from the attrition of the first couple of scenarios as they would have been forced to reuse existing forces.
