Little Tanks

Looked on as two teams played out an Indo-Pakistan War (1965) encounter with micro armour and soldiers smaller than ants. Maybe they were ants, cruelly painted green and sent into action.

Some grumbling as to the scale of the encounter as a couple of players were not happy with the large zoom out to battalion level, and how the initial sweeping movements bogged down into a static slugathon, partially due to the short range of most weapons, e.g. tanks only firing three hexes at max. Also the scenario seemed to of been cobbled together a bit, with re-inforcements turning up at 'fortunate' times to prolong the game.

Given the rather vague victory conditions I'm still not sure who won, the attackers manage to get part of a unit across the bridge after a flank breakthrough, but the rest of their forces were bogged down all along the rest of the front, with the defenders having enough reserves to plug any new gaps that may appear.

Also going on at the Tuesday Club...

Firestorm Armada,
Rogue Trader,
Warhammer Fantasy RPG,

And the start of a 40K Planetary Empires campaign; this is the current map.
